Ship models are slow going! Lots of parts and attempting to mask for airbrushing is just, well, frustrating. For space reasons I long ago settled on 1/700 scale if/when I build ship models. No Battle of the Atlantic display would be complete without some sort of merchant ship to represent the thousands that not only served but were lost during the 6 years of the battle.
