Greenshirt Modeler

Portable Toolkit

When you need to bring your model room with you.
When a modeler wants to model away from home, or has limited space at home, a small easy-to-move toolkit is just the thing.  I’ve tried fishing tackle boxes and tool boxes, but this is now my everyday solution even though I now have plenty of space.
I got this toolkit on Amazon. In the bottom I place my light, a couple of kits, a paintbrush holder, my optivisor, and even a cheap airbrush kit. In the empty layer I have some customizable foam that I put pre-thinned paint in using dropper bottles with the paint thinned for airbrush use (I use the same paint for touchups). The layer with the dividers is good for things like cotton buds, toothpicks, clothespins, clamps, pipettes, and bottle caps that I use as paint pallettes. I place an A4 sized cutting matt on top, plus a few sheets of paper towels. The top section has my tools including the knives, spare blades, rulers, tapes, sanding pads and sticks, jewelers files, drill bits, micro punch set, cutters, and a couple of rags. (That’s Bacon checking in on me.  Everybody loves Bacon!)
I use this kit daily for my “An Hour a Day” of modeling down in the basement.  I also take this to friend’s places when we do a Sprue-Glue-n-Brew or even to the local hobby shop/game store to model with other modelers.

Thanks for looking…
