The Hasegawa kit decals are not worth saving.  They have aged poorly and since I have 10 schemes with relatively new decals (even the older ones have been preserved in a sealed bag) I looked at all the options in my stash and I was able to find the following markings to choose from, the first 6 are from the Arma Hobby sheet:

1. Ki-84 Otsu of the 104th Sentai, Ota Air Base, Japan, August 1945 – an olive green over light gray scheme with red and yellow trim colors and a white band on the fuselage.  This is quite a colorful scheme.
2. Ki-84 Ko of the 2nd Chute, 11th Sentai, Philippines, in 1944/45 – an olive green over light gray scheme with a red lightning bolt on the tail.
3. Ki-84 Ko of the 10th Rensei Hikotai, Japan, Spring 1945 – an overall natural metal finish with fabric surfaces in a gray-green and red trim colors. A black anti-glare panel is on the nose.  Another colorful example.
4. Ki-84 Ko of the 3rd Chutai, 47th Sentai, Japanese Home Defense Forces, Narimasu airfield, Japan, February 1945 – olive green over light gray, yellow trim colors and white self defense bands behind the hinamarus.  Another colorful example.
5. Ki-84 Ko, 57th Shimbu-tai, Mijokonojo air base, Kyushu, Japan, Battle of Okinawa, May 1945 – dark blue-green over light gray green with a red lightning bolt on the fuselage and yellow group marking on the tail.  
6. Ki-84 Ko, 2nd Yuso Hikotai (ferry unit), en route from Nakajima factory in Ota to Saigon, Vietnam, summer 1944 – dark blue-green “scales” over a natural metal finish, white tiger on the tail.  This is an interesting scheme but it may be well beyond my masking and painting skills.
7. Ki-84 Ko, 101st Sentai, “yellow 82”, Battle of Okinawa, April 1945 – olive green over light gray with red and yellow trim on the tail.  
8. Ki-84 Ko, 57th Shimbu-tai, Mijokonojo air base, Kyushu, Japan, Battle of Okinawa, May 1945 – dark blue-green over light gray green with white characters under the cockpit and the group logo on the tail.
9. Ki-84 Ko, 57th Shimbu-tai, Mijokonojo air base, Kyushu, Japan, Battle of Okinawa, May 1945 – dark blue-green over light gray green with a yellow eagle on each side of the cockpit and the group logo on the tail.
10. Ki-84 Ko, 58th 57th Shimbu-tai, Mijokonojo air base, Kyushu, Japan, Battle of Okinawa, May 1945 – dark blue-green over light gray green with a white skull on a ship on the tail.

Those last four schemes are from the Aeromaster Decals special, SP72-06, “Special Attack Squadrons” and are aircraft used in kamikaze attacks.
