Every year I like to do a batch build – build multiple copies of the same kit, or similar kits of the same subject.  The major difference between each model being the paint scheme.  I always do my batch builds over the Christmas Holiday season as that is when I typically have the most time to do them.

In the past I’ve done Hurricane Mk II, Spitfire Mk XVI, late model F4U Corsairs, Wildcats, and early P-40 Warhawks.  I had planned a Hellcat batch build for 2022 but an emergent project pushed that into the future.  I was considering starting that one but after buying a Hasegawa Ki-84 kit at a model railroad show (yes, really) and finding it had 4 kits in it, I decided to combine that with my 2 Arma Hobby Ki-84 kits and the 10 sets of decals on hand and build a batch.

This time I also plan to make this a video batch build.  So the video will be on my YouTube channel, embedded below is the introductory video.  I’ll update the blog as I post each video update.
